• Nagarkot, is a fascinating mountain village (7,135ft) From here one can have the most magnificent view of the Himalayas including Mt. Sagarmatha(Everest), Manaslu and Makalu. It is only 34km. drive from Kathmandu and is about an-hour's drive. The Majestic beauty of the sunset you see from this point is beyond words. 
• Dhulikhel: This ancient town is situated 30 kms east of Kathmandu on the side of the Arniko Rajmarg (Kathmandu - Kodari, Nepal/Tibet Border). It is a lovely place famous for its scenic beauty and old tradition. From here one can have a complete panoramic view of the snowy Himalayan ranges from Karyolung in the east to Himalchuli in the west. There is a medieval township, Banepa between Kathmandu and Dhulikhel. • Daman: It is situated 76 kms south-west of Kathmandu at an altitude of about 2,400m.
