Kalimpong, "The Stockade of the King's Minister" was once a bustling town on
the trade route to Tibet. Although the trade route has closed down since the early
sixties, the town still retains it's tranquillity and intrinsic charm. At an altitude of
1250m, it enjoys the best climate in the region and is a favorite haunt of those in search
of peace and serenity.
Places of Interest:
Durpin Dara: is an observatory point, 3 km away from the main town from where one can relish the wonderful view of the town, rivers, mountains and the plains of Siliguri.
Zong Dog Parli Fo-Brang Monastery: A fairly new monastery located at Durpin Dara and belonging to the Ningmapa Sect of Tibetan Buddhism, it is on the verge of being completed and commands a panoramic view of Kalimpong town and it's surrounding.
Raja Dorjee Market: A visit to this local market in the heart of the town on the market days is a unique experience. All the villagers from the adjoining areas flock in to sell their wates and the market wears a festive look with a feast of colorful people.

RESERVATION: A deposit of full payment should be made 1 month before to reserve the arrangements. Payment should be made by telex transfer to our Account No. 110 0829 501 054, Nepal Grindlays Bank Limited, Kathmandu, Nepal, Telex No: 2531 GRNDLY NP, Fax No: 00977-1-523266 and we are to be advised of remittance by fax. Bank Draft and personal cheque will not be accepted.
VISA: Except Indian visa clients must obtain special Sikkim Innerland Permit, also valid for Darjeeling & Kalingpong, from Indian Embassy abroad or in Kathmandu (minimum 3 working days are required to obtained the same required).
CANCELLATION: Any cancellation made 10 days prior client's arrival in Kathmandu, 50% of total payment will be charged and if made within 10 days, no refund will be made.
REFUNDS: No partial refunds will be given for unused rooms, meals, sightseeing trips or trekking arrangements for any reason whatsoever.
CUSTOMS: Declare money and other valuables like jewelers and electronic goods while entering and also at exit.
RESPONSIBILITY: However, for loss arising from your change, unless reconfirmed by us, you should be responsible for this loss. IT&T has no responsibility for whatever change caused by weather and airliner service. Should there be any additional charges resulting from such changes, the clients are required to pay on the spot.
