DAY 01 (SAT): KATHMANDU-NYALAMU (3800 m ) - 165 Kms.

Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Kodari. After doing immigration and custom formalities drive uphill to Zhangmu than Nyalamu. Complete custom formalities. Overnight at Hotel Nyalamu.

 

DAY 02 (SUN): NYALAMU - TINGRI ( 4350 m ) - 244 Kms.

Drive to Tingri crossing NYALAMU PASS ( 3800m )& LALUNG LA PASS (5050m).This drive offers fantastic view of the high mountain including Mount Everest ( 8848m). Overnight at Hotel Snow Lion or Snow Leopard.

 

DAY 03 (MON): TINGRI - XIGATSE ( 3900m) - 244 Kms.

Drive ( Approx 8 hrs ) to Xigatse. Xigatse has the famous Tashilhunpo Monastery and the seat of Panchen Lama. Overnight at Hotel Everest Friendship.

 

DAY 04 (TUE): XIGATSE- GYANTSE (3900m )- 90 Kms.

In the morning visit Tashilhunpo Monastery and the free market of Xigatse. In the afternoon drive to Gyantse and visit Phalkor Monastery and Khumbum Stupa. Overnight at Hotel Gyantse.

 

DAY 05 (WED): GYANTSE- LHASA ( 3650m)- 259 Kms.

The drive to Lhasa takes 08 hours, crossing two passes - THE KARO LA ( 5010m) and KAMBA LA ( 4794m) via Yamdrok Tso lake. Overnight at hotel in Lhasa.

 

DAY 06 & 07 (THU & FRI): Sightseeing tour of Potala Palace, Norbulinka Palace, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Barkhor Bazaar. Overnight at hotel.

 

DAY 08 (SAT): Transfer to Gonggar airport for your onward flight to Kathmandu.
