INTRODUCTION:

For the easy reading of this piece and the
appreciation of the watercolor picture included, we suggest you open the mail to

The expedition itself of 10Day/09 Night duration plus
the extention we are offering to Mustang, the Tibetan Province of Nepal, will
bring you into an unexpected adventure as both are, indeed, delivering the
samples of Nepal's unparalleled and unique 'windows of the world'.
With fourteen -in total, UNESCO World Heritage
sites in a tiny area, the Kathmandu City and the Kathmandu Valley boasts a
concentration of monuments and townscapes of an importance almost unmatched in
the world. The very singular existing syncretism of Hindu and Buddhist cultures
which gave rise to these still living monuments, survives only in
Nepal.
Jewel-monuments at Durbar Square Kathmandu,
Boudhnath, Pashaputinath, Patan, Bhaktapur and Swayamboudhnath will not be
missed in this journey. Special educational visits will be effected to all those
monumental sites with the right to each participant for a "Certificate of Art
Course in Situ". Professor Krishna Prasad Dhakhal, with Master of Arts
in (Pol. Sc.) from Tribhuvan University and a Tourist Guide
himself, will leader the visits. He is also a coordinator and trainer of various
trade trainings, seminars and work shops for the Department of Travel and Tour
Department of Hotel Management and Tourism Training Center. He acts, as
well, as Deputy Head of such Center.
Overflying Nepal's mighty Himalayas with the
magnificent scenic views of Mt. Everest at close range, will be another
spiritual food for your senses, offered as part of our great adventure. Later,
awesome views from Point Daman from which, in a clear day, its range can be far
beyond any expectation: A 248 miles / 400-kilometers-one-shot-view in front row,
again, of the Himalayas, encompassing 35 of its permanent snowed
peaks.
Pokhara, within an enchanting Himalayan valley, is
considered in this itinerary. It lies in a valley with magnificent views of the
Annapurna's range and the Macchapuchhre (Fishtail) mountain. Its Pewha
Lake, is another serene beauty in where you have a boat ride under sunset lights
to admire the wonderful panorama in its mirrored waters. Time will be spared
along its waterfront road full of tiny shops offering surprising handicrafts of
Nepalese, Kashimiri and Tibetan origins.
At the Royal Chitwan National Park, you will arrive
at rustics but exclusive Gaida Wildlife Lodge and Gaida Wildlife Luxury Camp in
where, within other singular activities, a special one-day-session will be spent
searching for game by elephant's back with a minimum and exceptional and
exclusive feature -as never before offered as we have got the exclusivity-, of a
total that reaches 05 to 06 hours elephant ride from Lodge to Camp, with pic-nic
lunch in the jungle.
The Terai's Plains of Chitwan count with an extensive
and deep rain forest which is the haunt of the one-horned rhinos, leopards, the
elusive Bengal tigers, monkeys and numerous species of exotic tropical birds.
Easy guided walks within the jungle and a ride in a dugout canoe along the Rapti
River are the also essentials of this adventure for you to get acquainted with
its natural environments and the tribal life of its Tharu
People.
While on our wild part of this expedition, a visit
will be paid to the "Breeding and Taming Center for Wild Elephants" where you
will be, most probably, able to pamper their last babies.
Our 06Day/05Night Extension will bring you into
Jomsom, in the mystic land of Mustang, the Nepalese District where
'Himalaya', the film by the French Eric Valli showed us, not so long ago, and as
his master work, the life of indigenous Dolpos, the land of Karma Tensing and
Nyama Lama as they trek, in caravan, the snowy mountains and impressive gorges
to trade their salt for food.
You will be receiving very soon another delicious
piece of food for your dreams, as we are planning to send you full detail for
this unforgettable Tibetan site we have ready for the extension. As a short
advance, we let you know that pony rides will bring you into the gracious
Tibetan town of Marpha and to Kagbeni, after Eklai Bhatti. It is the same route
salt caravans take towads north-east of Eklai Bhatti to reach upper Mustang, to
Lo Mantang, 'The Lost Kingdom' (consult National Geographic Magazine, Vol. 192,
No. 5, November 1997, pages 112 to 129 "MUSTANG: Nepal's Forgotten Corner"
by Robert Caputo).
One of the items that is unique to this region are
the SALIGRAM (Ammonites). A big fossil, very big, lie in the bed of the wide
river, the Kali Gandaki, in the path within Kagbeni and Eklai Bhatti and you
will be able to see it too.
Come with us to Nepal, the window to an
old, beautiful, wonderful, static, world; and, not only that,
but the natural 'steps' to
Heaven.
If you are interested in detailed itineraries for
both, basic program and extension consult us. We will gladly send you the
information you require.
